What was the most popular car colour for 2018?

2018 hit new car registrations pretty hard due to various political and legal factors in the Automotive Industry. These factors led to a drop in new car registrations of 6.8% with there only being around 2 million new car registrations all year.

The biggest falls in new car registrations were seen by Fiat, Audi, Alfa Romeo, Bentley & Ford just to name a few with private sector registrations down 6%, business 5% and large fleets over 7%.

These drops can be seen first hand even in the colour market with new black car registrations down over 7.3%, this has meant that grey cars were the most popular in 2018 as the sales of these colour registrations only fell by around 1%.

Technology in the Automotive Industry

Here at Vehicle Connections Ltd, we’re always really excited when we get a picture of something we haven’t seen before from one of our drivers but last month we got even better than that.

Last month we had the chance to demo one of Audi’s new cars and that was an exciting day at the office! Everyone immediately dropped what they were doing and went outside to have a look at this vehicle’s brand new technology…

We were amazed at what we saw on the inside – hardly any physical buttons but instead a massive touch screen panel to control the whole car from. That technology is fantastic!

When we returned back to the office yesterday and were having a look through the news we also spotted that Hyundai had announced their fingerprint unlock and start system technology, seeing as we delivered over 30 Hyundai’s last month we can’t wait to see how this works when we get a vehicle with these features in the future.
